The Challenge
A UK based telecommunications service provider engaged Cause2Connect to create social value around their product.
The Program
Cause2Connect analyzed the company’s technology and developed new-use cases in the context of local communities and the developing world. We helped build a portfolio of regional non-profit partners using the product to enhance their communications strategies. Communities ranged from groups addressing the development of underprivileged youth’s oral and written skills to organizations fostering creative approaches to responsible citizenship. Cause2Connect also identified key issues of humanitarian communications as an area of positive impact for the company’s technology. The service was adapted to the context of the developing world and has been implemented into the communications structures of some of the world’s largest international agencies concerned with the welfare of children and refugees and other basic human rights. Exploring the impact of ever-growing mobile communications in the developing world, the largest European media development trust also employs the technology in its programs.
A Volunteer Management Platform
The Challenge
An Australia-based software company focusing on return on costumer investment software and CRM has developed volunteering software out of their core products. The company is rolling out operations to the North American market and intends to use the volunteering program to demonstrate the social value of their products thus create a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
The Program
Cause2Connect analyzed the volunteering technology and its applications and identified North America based foundations, NGOs and international agencies in which the software would have the biggest impact. Cause2Connect leveraged its network and knowledge about the operations of non-profit organizations to create a portfolio of communities that will benefit from the technology.
PACKAGING INDUSTRY
The Challenge
A Mexican-based packaging company wishes to extend its operations further into the US market, and recognizes part of what many US prospects demand are vendors whose practices are environmentally sensitive and socially responsible.
The Program
Cause2Connect analyzed existing community programs and developed a strategy that will allow the implementation of existing best practices at each of the company’s locations. The environmental impact of the company was analyzed in terms of technologies, use of resources and shipping. Cause2Connect provided advice about market positioning with a focus on sustainability. Current best practices were explored and strategic advice for the extension and implementation of sustainable practices was provided.
EDUCATION
The Challenge
A USA-based foundation focusing on global educational development and cultural exchange is intending to grow its supporter base and reach.
The Program
Cause2Connect provided background research and clarified focus, market positioning and goals for future growth. A multi-phased program has been developed that will allow the organization to extend its connections in terms of partners, supporters, volunteers and beneficiaries. Connections between local and global educational communities are being developed as a strategic component of the program. Cause2Connect is also developing qualification criteria for partner NGOs that will provide transparency for all stakeholders.
